facelift. Oh, and a cool bake sale.

Hi guys!

So, enough of the doom and gloom. While that was good to get out, and I have received MORE support than I EVER imagined, and realized HOW loved I am, I don’t really want my blog to become ‘the depression blog’. I want to be able to share my thoughts, what I am going through, and yes my depression, but I do not want it to consume my blog like it sometimes tries to do to my life.

Sound good?

Thought so.

Now in Exciting News! If you are reading this via feed, click over! I gave myself a facelift and a new name. Whit’s Getting Fit was cute and catchy, but also transitional. And while I got fit for a while, well I have not exactly been quiet about the fact that I have gained weight. While I am working on ‘getting fit’ again, I just felt it was time to shed that whole skin. So welcome to the newly christened www.whatswithwhit.com! I named it after my twitter handle. I think it’s catchy. And the alliteration does not hurt. I am a sucker for alliteration.

She sells seashells at the seashore, anyone?

With a new name came a new look. I like it. Fresh clean, and pretty. Just how I want my life. Neat and orderly. Still working on that.

By the way, I am seeing a doctor tomorrow, just to make sure everything is working properly, in that quest for a neat orderly life.

So you know, I may share how that goes. But let’s not get this all depression focused!

Switching gears…remember my cool cousin Laura?

Yes that one. The pretty one with blue eyes and brown hair. AMAZING COMBINATION. [all my cousins are pretty by the way, not a one lacking in that department.]

Anyway, Laura has been working hard at fundraising for the Crohn’s and Colitis foundation, which is an amazing cause, and a condition that I found out many bloggers suffer from.

Her minimum goal is to raise $3000.00. So far, she has raised $1500.00 of that on her own.

When I found out she needed $1500.00 more, I wracked my brain wondering: How can I help?

And I realized: blogging! A blogger bake sale!

Laura’s race is NEXT Sunday, so I’d like to hold the bake sale sometime next week, possibly Tuesday or Wednesday.

So, if you would like to help with this AMAZING cause, please send an email to whitsgettingfit [at] gmail [dot] com, with Blogger Bake Sale in the subject line by MONDAY night.

Any baked good that ships well would be AWESOME. I know that in the past I have participated in blogger bake sales for fundraising events and it is just the best feeling.

I know this is totally last minute to be pulling everything together, but I basically live that way [I’m working on changing that!] so it’s really nothing new. ;)

NOTE: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A BLOGGER TO PARTICIPATE! If you make really good chocolate chip cookies and would like to donate them, please, please e-mail me!

Also, if you could spread the word via twitter and such, I am usually not a media whore, but this is for a really good cause, that both my cousin and I feel strongly about supporting.

So, next week, possibly Tuesday, most likely Wednesday [I will post the certain date BEFORE THEN] I will be holding a blogger bake sale on the all new www.whatswithwhit.com!

Tell yo friends!
